Ting Choon Meng
Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Ting is a medical doctor, an inventor and an author. As a major founder of the company, he is responsible for developing the medical concept and bringing EVBP™ Technology to its fruition. He has the overall responsibility of setting the corporate goals for the company and bringing the company products to full commercialization. Dr. Ting earned his MBBS (Singapore) in 1984 and has been practising as a private family physician for over 20 years. His other inventions include a non-invasive blood glucose measurement monitor, a smart needle for intra-articular injection and a mobile ER vehicle for mass casualty that has become the standard deployment for Singapore Homeland Force. He pioneered the Viscosupplementation technique for the treatment of OA knees in 1991 which he has since performed on more than 25,000 knees, and consequently written a book on the subject entitled “Advancing Viscosupplementation: A Handbook on Viscosupplementation for OA Knees” for doctors. Dr. Ting is currently on the government board of EDB and A*Star as an advisor on investment in start-up companies.
Chua Ngak Hwee
Chief Technology Officer, Director and Founder
Mr. Chua and his team co-invented the EVBP™ Technology with Dr. Ting. He is primarily responsible for the technical and software development of the devices, along with the company’s Intellectual Property. Mr. Chua graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic and further qualifications from the British Computer Society. He brings with him 16 years of experience in managing computer hardware and software development projects. Priori to setting up HealthSTATS, Mr. Chua runs his own consultancy firm providing development services on computer-integrated systems to SMEs, including turnkey solutions.
